Polaris Travel Clinic and Pharmacy donates $1 from every vaccine given at our clinic to a charitable organization.
From January to April our selected charity was Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders). We are happy to report that Polaris donated $215 to MSF as a result of this program.
Our plan is to rotate charities every 4 months, so we are now looking for a charity to donate to for the May to August period. This time we have decided to make our donation to a local Airdrie and area charity. Even though we have now reached June, we have not decided which charity we will be supporting. There are a lot of worthy causes out there, including some we probably don’t even know about. So we thought we would take suggestions and then we’d make a decision.
How to apply and/or suggest: send an email to us at info@polaristravelclinic.ca and describe briefly your organization and what you plan to do with the donation. Please include a contact phone number in your message. We would prefer if the organization is a registered charity if possible, but this is not an absolute requirement. If you have any connections to health care and/or overseas programs make sure to include it in your message.
