Polaris Travel Clinic donates $1 for every flu shot given to Airdrie Health Foundation

Polaris Travel Clinic and Pharmacy is proud to announce they will be donating $1 to the Airdrie Health Foundation for every flu vaccine they administer at their clinic until November 15, 2016.

“There are a lot of places you can get your flu shot in the community,” says Jason Kmet, owner/pharmacist at Polaris. “At Polaris, you can get your flu shot and know a dollar is going to a local cause that advocates for health care in Airdrie.”

The provincial flu vaccination program starts on Monday, October 24.  There is no charge for a flu vaccination with your Alberta Health Care card.

“The Airdrie Health Foundation truly appreciates all the support we receive from our community, especially businesses like Polaris Travel Clinic. Polaris Travel Clinic is not only helping to keep our community healthy but giving back at the same time,” says Michelle Bates, Chair of the Airdrie Health Foundation.

Polaris Travel Clinic and Pharmacy will be open extended hours during flu season.  Flu vaccinations will start at Polaris on Monday, October 24 at 9am, which is a day earlier than the first AHS clinic at the T&C.  Patients can call ahead and schedule an appointment to ensure minimal wait times, or can drop in.  Extra staff will be available.

In addition, Polaris will be doing free flu vaccination clinics in the community, including:
