Measles vaccine available in Airdrie at Polaris Travel Clinic and Pharmacy
For those who are unable to drive into Calgary for the mass measles vaccination clinics and are not able to make an appointment at the AHS Public Health Clinic in Airdrie, Polaris Travel Clinic and Pharmacy can provide a local alternative with no waiting in line and same day appointments.
Since Polaris is outside of AHS, there is a cost of $50 per person to receive a measles vaccination. Polaris can direct bill to most drug plans so the patient will only pay for their portion just like at a typical pharmacy (if the vaccine is covered on their benefit plan). Please note children under 5 must be vaccinated by a registered nurse and we do not have one available during all of our operating hours. A same day appointment may not be possible for children under 5.
