Vaccination for meningococcal meningitis must be documented for entry. This is an important public health issue as this illness is spread between persons via respiratory secretions. Crowded conditions can create the potential for an epidemic.
Polaris Travel Clinic and Pharmacy carries the meningococcal meningitis vaccine at cost of $145 per dose (one dose needed before travel for adults). In addition to the cost of the vaccine, there is a consultation fee charged (includes consultation with a travel health professional, giving the injection, and providing documentation). We offer a special Hajj consultation fee if you book your appointment on Wednesdays or Thursdays and specify you are going on pilgrimage in advance.
