The provincial flu vaccination program starts on Tuesday, October 20. We will be providing no charge flu shots as long as you provide us with your Alberta health care card. Our clinic in Airdrie will be open on Tuesday to accommodate the extra demand. We will be open from 9am to 5pm. We will accept drop ins, but ideally you should consider booking an appointment so you do not have to wait. Polaris is also operating a temporary flu shot clinic at Eau Claire Market in downtown Calgary. It will be open on Tuesday morning at 10am. This clinic will run from 10am to 3pm between Tuesday, October 20 and Saturday, October 31. For more information, check out the Eau Claire flu clinic page on our website.
Please bring your Alberta health care card with you. Also, please note that we cannot give flu vaccine to children under 9 years of age. Children under 9 must go to an AHS Public Health flu vaccination clinic to get immunized. We can vaccinate children 9 years and older.
Flumist, the flu vaccine in nasal spray form is currently not available for at least a week. We will update our website when we do receive stock.
