Airdrie flu shots for groups

Polaris Travel Clinic and Pharmacy will set up a FREE flu clinic for your organization to help increase access to flu shots this fall.  Save time and avoid waiting in line.

Starting this year, Alberta Health will allow non-government organizations to set up mobile flu clinics for community groups.  Polaris Travel Clinic and Pharmacy opened in early 2013 and has a special interest in vaccines, whether they are related to travelling overseas or for public health.  We are pleased to have the opportunity to get into the community with this innovative program.

In order to provide the flu shot, the recipient must have a valid Alberta Health Care number.  We are not able to vaccinate children under 9 years old.  Only public health nurses or approved physician offices can administer flu shots for children under 9 years old.  We will have the flu shot in both the traditional injectable form and in the nasal spray for children 9 to 17 years and adults under 60 who are needle-phobic.
